Find answers to common questions about Reso's resume analysis tool.
Reso is an AI-powered job search assistant. Upload your CV and a job description, and Reso will tell you how well they match, suggest improvements, generate a tailored CV, and help you prepare for interviews.
Click "Get Started" or "Register" and sign up with your email and a password. You can also sign in with your Google account if that option is available. You will need to verify your email before using most features.
Pulses are credits that power Reso's AI features. Each time you run an analysis (comparing your CV to a job description), it costs 1 Pulse. New users receive a set of free Pulses when they sign up.
You can start for free with the Pulses included when you sign up. Once those run out, you can purchase more Pulses to keep using the AI features.
Go to the Analysis page, select or upload a CV, paste or upload a job description, and click Analyze. Reso's AI will compare the two and return your results within a few moments.
Reso accepts CVs in PDF, DOCX, DOC, and TXT formats. The maximum file size is 2 MB. Job descriptions can be pasted as text or uploaded as a file.
No. You can save multiple CVs in your CV library (found in Settings). Give each one a custom name, set a default, and select which one to use when you run an analysis.
Yes. On the Analysis page, you can switch between US English and UK English. This affects the language and spelling used in the AI-generated results, not the app interface itself.
You upload your CV and provide a job description. Reso's AI reads both documents and compares your experience, skills, and qualifications against what the job is looking for. It then returns scores, a detailed breakdown of strengths and gaps, and a tailored version of your CV.
Each analysis produces two scores. The ATS Score estimates how well your CV would perform with automated screening software — the systems many employers use to filter applications before a human sees them. The Recruiter Score estimates how a human recruiter would rate your CV's relevance and readability for that specific role.
Reso detects the type of career your analysis falls into — such as Technical, Creative, Business, Healthcare, or Education. This helps the AI tailor its suggestions to the norms and expectations of your field.
The tailored CV is generated in a text format that you can download or print. To make further changes, copy the content into your own document editor (such as Word or Google Docs) before submitting your application.
Yes. After an analysis, you can view a side-by-side comparison that highlights what was added, removed, or reworded in the tailored version compared to your original CV.
Reso builds a brief summary of your career profile as you use it. This helps the AI give you more relevant and consistent suggestions across multiple analyses.
Every time you analyze a new role and company, Reso automatically creates a job entry on your Jobs page. You can update the status (such as Applied, Interviewing, or Offer), add notes, bookmark favorites, and see your latest match scores at a glance.
For any tracked job, open the Prep tab to generate an AI-powered interview preparation pack. This includes a company overview, likely interview questions, and tips tailored to the interview stage. Each prep pack costs 1 Pulse.
On the detail page for any job, go to the Interviews tab. You can record interview sessions with dates, formats (such as video or in-person), round labels, and your notes. You can also use AI to summarize your notes after the interview.
No. Job entries are created automatically when you run an analysis. This ensures every tracked job has at least one analysis result linked to it.
Go to the Buy Credits page from the navigation menu. Choose a Pulse package and complete your purchase through our secure payment provider. Pulses are added to your account immediately.
Unless required by law, all Pulse purchases are final and non-refundable, including unused Pulses.

Your personal details (name, email, and other identifying information) are permanently removed. Historical records such as past analyses are anonymized so they can no longer be linked back to you. This process cannot be undone.
